Challenge to Judiciary in the 21st Century

Being harassed from the Executives and Legislatures, people rush to Courts for quick and complete justice but now a days it appears that people are loosing faith and confidence in the judicial system, reason being delay in disposal of cases, huge money is required for prosecuting or defending the cases and even there is no certainty of success. In some of the civil matters, cases are started by the grandfather and ends by the hands of grandchildren. It is common perception that the Govt. thinks the judiciary as a challenger or competitioner. Although in fact this is not true. Judiciary has to decide the cases filed by citizens against the State and Central Government and the laws made by State Legislature or Parliament. Some time it is alleged that the judiciary is exceeding its jurisdiction and it is blamed for judicial activism.
