Property vis-a-vis Intellectual Property : The Defenitional Crisis

The scope and contours of ‘property’ have been widened considerably. Thus, the meaning of ‘property’ has been stretched to include personal rights: Grant of Constitutional protection to ‘property’ is yet another contributory factor of its widening meaning. Economic significance of intangible concepts further added to the ever widening scope of ‘property’, especially ‘intellectual property’. This article examines the nature of intellectual property.
