Mr. President, office-bearers of the District Bar Association, Nagpur, learned District Judge and other learned Judges of the District Court and learned Members of the Bar. Listening to the introductory remarks by your Secretary, Mr. Desai, a fleeting thought went across my mind as to whether; Have I been invited here to decide a suit for dissolution of partnership and accounts? One thing is certain that there cannot be, between the Bar and the Bench, any judicial separation as such nor any divorce. Both are equal working partners in the administration of justice and this partnership is one which can never be dissolved. The Bar and the Bench have, therefore, to live with each other, adjust with each other and accept each other in the best interests of administration of justice.
