The Concept of Voyeurism in Indian Criminal Justice: A Concomitant of Social Justice1
Criminal law is founded on the doctrine “nullum crimen sine lege” which means “nothing is a crime unless a specific law define it as such. Prior to 2013, the law on sexual harassment was not so wide and clear. But after the passing of the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 2013, Section 354C specifically dealt with the term Voyeurism and was added, thus expanding the meaning of the Sexual Harassment.2
Voyeurism has surfaced in recent times with the advent of the internet and social media sites.
