(A) Constitution of India , Art.226, Art.227— Jurisdiction under Art. 226 and Art. 227 - Scope - Composite petition under Arts. 226, 227 - Assailing orders of Registrar and Revisional Authority under Co-operative Societies Act - Issue raised requires exercise of supervisory jurisdiction only - Petition could be treated as petition filed under Article 227 of Constitution only. (Para 18) (B) Constitution of India , Art.227— Supervisory jurisdiction - Limits - Petition challenging approval given by Registrar to resolution expelling members of Co-operative Society - Expulsion found to be correct by High Court - Court going further on request made by members directing Society to construct and allot additional quarters/apartments to members - Direction issued is unwarranted expansion of supervisory jurisdiction. The Court, while, exercising its powers under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, ought to have confined itself to the subject-matter and the issues raised by parties in the Writ Petition. Any digression of or expansion of the supervisory jurisdiction under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, would open precarious floodgates of litigation should the limitation on the supervisory jurisdiction not be observed mindfully.(Para 21) ....
