Motor Vehicles Act (59 of 1988) , S.166— Compensation - Enhancement of - Deceased-police constable aged 28 years at time of accident - 50% of salary added towards future prospects and 1/4th deducted towards personal expenses - Applying multiplier of '17', Rs.23,24,265/- awarded towards loss of dependency - Rs.40,000/- awarded towards loss of spousal consortium and Rs.30,000/- each to two minor children for loss of parental consortium - Rs.30,000/- towards loss of love and affection - Hence, Compensation awarded by Tribunal enhanced from Rs.23,32,265/- to Rs.24,12,265/- with interest @ 6% p.a.
